Michael Ann Young
Originally from Chicago, Michael Ann began her professional acting career working as a child voice over artist and jingle singer for hundreds of top American brands including Kraft, Sears and United Airlines. She moved to Los Angeles, where she has appeared on several Television shows & Indie films including the quirky, award winning Angel Arizona on The Independent Film Channel. Michael Ann has also worked extensively in Animation, including many characters on the hit cartoon South Park and The Regular Show for the Cartoon Network.
Michael Ann's voice can be heard on several television and radio commercials including JC Penny, Universal Studios & McDonalds. She can also be heard in many of the top video games, most notably,
Metal Gear, Solid-Peace Walker, Bodycount & Lost Odyssey.
Theatrically, Michael Ann has performed throughout the United States and Europe. Her numerous roles include Jeanie in the European tour of the musical Hair, Victoire in Little Hotel On The Side, Kim in Bye Bye Birdie, Mae in Pajama Game, Shy in The Best Little Whore House in Texas and roles in The Rocky Horror Picture Show. In Los Angeles, she won a Dramalogue award for her performance as Lulu in the Wedekind play of the same name.
Michael Ann is also a writer. She wrote, produced and starred in a short film, "Sexy Space Sirens from Siberon", that debuted at the Slamdance and Lapdance film festivals in Park City.
As a vocal artist, she helped launch a wonderful educational CD, which helps teach preschool aged children language & reading skills through the use of fun songs. She voices the character of Kozy Bear on the Cd,
"Kozy Bear and the Feefers." The Cd was launched in Tokyo, Japan and has sold 80,000 copies to date.
Her experience on the other side of the camera is also impressive. She spent several years working with the famous manager and ICM agent Mort Viner. Not only did Michael Ann help Mr. Viner run his Company,
which managed such major celebrities as Shirley Maclaine, Michael Crawford and the late Dean Martin, she was also fortunate to have him as a mentor, giving her vast knowledge into the inside workings of the Entertainment Industry. The experience she gained was invaluable and has helped her achieve success throughout the industry.
Michael Ann's most current & exciting project to date is being a Mom to Natasha Downes who is the light of her life!
She is a member of the Screen Actors Guild, American Federation of Television and Radio Artists and The Actors Equity Association
