Maddie Taylor

Born in Flint, Michigan (when it still had potable water), Maddie Taylor began performing at just 13 with the Flint Youth Theater. Her career has taken a unique path, with many roles performed before her transition.

In her early 20s, she crisscrossed the country from Cape Cod to the Alamo as a young male puppeteer, sharpening her skills in comedy, voice work, and improv along the way. After earning a degree from CalArts, Maddie launched successful parallel careers as both a storyboard artist and a voiceover performer.

Some of her earlier male-voiced roles can be heard in the popular “Open Season 1, 2, and 3,” including the lead role of Elliot in “Open Season 3” as well as the videogame based on the movie. She also brought to life Hamilton Pig in “The Angry Birds Movie” and Geoff’s buddy and Ivan the cranky sea urchin in the Oscar-nominated “Surf’s Up.” Additional roles include the villainous lunatic Verminious Snaptrap for three seasons on Nickelodeon’s “TUFF Puppy” as well as recurring roles on “Fairly OddParents.”

Maddie’s journey is a true case of art imitating life. While transitioning, she proudly portrayed a transgender female pageant host in Nickelodeon’s “The Loud House” – a role that evolved from Donnie Dufresne to Dana within the story itself. She also had the special honor to voice a powerful trans woman in the global videogame sensation “Cyberpunk 2077.” Most recently, she played Glinara, the criminal underworld boss in “The Playmobil Movie.”
