He was also given the lead in Walt Disney Pictures' first Mexican film, High School Musical, El Desafío (The Challenge). He played Private Perez in Salvando al Soldado Pérez (Saving Private Perez), one of the most expensive Mexican films ever made.

His recent feature La Cuarta Compañía (The 4th Company), streamed worldwide through Netlifx. The film was an Official Selection of the 28th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival and won a record-breaking ten Ariel Awards, including Best Picture of the Year in 2017. The 4th Company is considered one of the best Mexican movies of the decade.
