Dyana Ortelli

"I got tired of playing Mexican maids and prostitutes, so I changed my name to Dyana Ortelli. Now I play Italian maids and prostitutes."

Wild, wacky and outrageous, DYANA ORTELLI is a self-described HAC -- Host, Actress, Comedienne.

Considered one of Hollywood's Latina pioneers, Ortelli is known for her roles in LA BAMBA, AMERICAN ME, BORN IN EAST LA and THE THREE AMIGOS. She is most often recognized for her role as outrageous fashion designer, Irene, in the ground-breaking Latino film, LUMINARIAS, and for her role as Dora, Larry David's housekeeper on CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM.

She has numerous television credits, most recently seen guest-starring on JANE THE VIRGIN. Ortelli is also one of the leading characters in the internationally acclaimed Disney-Pixar's movie, COCO -- TIA VICTORIA.

A stand-up comedienne, Ortelli has two comedy C.D's to her name -- THE HOT AND SPICY MAMITAS OF COMEDY and THE LATINA QUEENS OF COMEDY.

As a television host, Ortelli was one of the hosts of HOLA LA on KCBS -- the only talk show with four Latina women at the table.

An outspoken activist in the Latino community, Ortelli received a LATINO SPIRIT AWARD from the California State Assembly in 2002, alongside luminaries such as Dolores Huerta, Oscar de la Hoya and Los Tigres del Norte.
