Dayci Brookshire
Dayci began her voice over career as the beloved southern speaking, tire popping Geico Pothole, earning her a Best Commercial Actress of the Year Nomination. The commercial went viral and produced some incredible stories from fans. One used it as a source of laughter to get through his divorce and another quoted it throughout his Chemo treatments to keep his spirits up. This incredible response made Dayci realize how much she wanted to use her voice to make as many people laugh as hard as possible so she made the move from NYC to LA and hasn’t looked back. But she has gone back for pizza, bagels and doughnuts, you know, the essentials.
Upon moving to Los Angeles she made her mark in the animated world as Young Zatanna in Warner Brothers’ Justice League Action. She channeled her nightmarish memories of wearing night gear as a teen to help get the lisp just right. She then turned the role of soft speaking Apple, a Guest Star on Dreamworks’ Home: Adventures with Tip and Oh, into a recurring one that stretched out over three seasons.
From there she went on to voice mean valley girl Jessica (which led to some amazing fan art and impressions) and hippy chick, Dressy, both Series Regular Roles on Dreamworks’ The Epic Tales of Captain Underpants. This show also tapped into Dayci’s extensive music and voice training which let her finally live out her dream of singing like Stevie Nicks, Annie, a hypnotized alien and a Rock Metal Diva to name a few.
Next up was Series Lead Rainbow Thunder on Chico Bon Bon: Monkey with a Tool Belt. Since childhood, Dayci has rescued cats from all over the US so getting to voice a kitty who could ride a skateboard and make science super cool was a dream come true.
Other notable rolls include Viridi in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Changpu in Dreamworks’ Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight and Hydie Jekyll in Disney’s Vampirina. She’s also voiced countless Fisher Price Toys to help keep the littlest of humans happy.
On the improv front, she’s a graduate of UCB LA and made her way through the Groundlings LA School, receiving an invite only spot to Writer’s Lab. This has helped her take her VO skills to the next level by creating original characters that serve the same exact purpose as her animated ones- always make people laugh, even on the days they don’t think they can.
