From the world of stage, film, and voiceover work, to professional writing as a sci-fi/horror uber-geek, Charlie McWade harnesses his obsession for genre storytelling into his work as a voice over artist by constantly seeking to express characters in quirky and unexpected ways - be it through his many appearances in Collegehumor’s Comedy shorts or his multi-character performance in Brandon Sanderson’s audiobook ’Alcatraz Versus the Evil Librarians’.
Charlie enjoyed a vibrant career in New York City for over two decades. Watch out LA, Charlie has landed on the West Coast to do the same, but with nicer weather and significantly fewer over-crowded subway cars. Best known to the under 10 set for the last six years as Nickelodeon’s ‘Nick Gamer’, offering tips and tricks with his funky sense of humor, Charlie has voiced hundreds (yes, 100’s) of TV promos, commercials, radio spots, video games and audiobooks. He is an Audie award nominee for his audiobook work on Paul Zindel’s literary classic ‘The Pigman’, and has received numerous accolades by performing over 100 characters for Jennifer A. Nielsen’s entire Ascendance Audiobook Trilogy.
A graduate of New York University’s prestigious Experimental Theater Wing, Charlie has a prolific career in the entertainment industry, performing with Broadway’s Roundabout Theater Company, acting in Dreamworks cult classic film ‘Road Trip’, and appearing in multiple major network TV dramas. In addition, he has created several TV series, having collaborated with master of horror herself, Gale Anne Hurd, Valhalla Entertainment, and Universal Cable Productions.
With his knack for unique world-building, and his decades of experience across multiple entertainment platforms, Charlie is excited to discover all the new possibilities that West Coast life has to offer… as long as they quit putting avocados on everything.Add to Call Sheet
